The sign above is the rebuild plan for Coon Valley Veterans Memorial Ball Field that was developed after the massive flooding of 2018 and then the damaging flood of 2019... The entire field was to be rebuilt in July of 2019, when the 3rd flood in three years spoiled those plans... But the CVABA would not give up and the above plan was put in place... What has occurred is nothing short of extraordinary and is due to the financial support of so many people and the work and help of many, many volunteers, both young and old!!!!!
What has been done to this point is the following:

April 2, 2020 - Remove outfield fencing posts and other fencing that was damaged...
April 17&18 - Removed more fencing poles and clean up to prepare for Dirt Monkey to rebuild the field...
April 20, 21, 22 & 23 - Dirt Monkey rebuilt the entire infield and outfield of the main field and also worked on the youth field...
April 25 - Many volunteers, youth ball players, parents, etc. spent several hours in the morning picking rocks and sticks from the outfield...
April 25 - Volunteers spent the afternoon dragging, rolling, seeding and mulching the outfield of the main ball field...
May & June - the oufield has been mowed several times and also sprayed for weeds...
July & August - youth ball games were played on the main field several times and more mowing and spraying of the outfield...
September - Pederson Electric has begun the work of replacing/repairing the electrical in the park...
September 15 - The outfield was aerated with a aerator donated for use by the Westby Area School District...
September 16 - Darin Berg overseeded the outfield with grass seed using his 12' Brillion seeder!!
September 16 - Ryan Fencing has started work in the park on replacing the fencing. The youth fencing is done and left field fence has been repaired. Next to do is to fix the first base fence, gates & outfield fence with yellow cap as soon as the product arrives...
September 28-29 - Dirt Monkey/Marty Leum & his crew came.  The Flag Pole is moved/installed & looks great.  Infield lime is in place behind home plate on main field & dirt in left field.  More lime on entire youth field & smoothing of outfield. The swail improvements is being worked on.  They will smooth other areas today before they leave. ...
October 5-9 - WIS-CORP worked on many projects in the park to help get things back in shape...
October 19-27 - Ryan Fencing returned and finished repairing/replacing all of the fencing!!
December 8 - Ryan Fencing completed the installation of the yellow cap on the top of the fences...
